She's a loving, loyal companion who thrives with people and is happiest when she's part of the family-preferably curled up next to you for a long cuddle session or soaking up belly rubs. Emma loves: 'ۢ ե People and affection 'ۢ %90 Playing with other dogs (with proper introductions) 'ۢ %90%BE Doggie daycare and social play 'ۢ Z%BE Chasing balls and running around 'ۢ S Swimming-she loves the water 'ۢ ܕ%8F Lounging indoors as a true house dog She is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on monthly Simparica Trio. She has no ongoing medical issues and is overall a very healthy girl. Personality & Home Life Emma is housebroken, has free roam of the house, and has excellent manners indoors (especially if food isn't left out). She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, stop, and paw, and she enjoys learning-though she would benefit from continued leash training, as she can be enthusiastic and strong on walks. She does best when introductions are done properly and can be a bit 'barrier defensive' in kennel settings, meaning she may bark behind fences or barriers-but once she's out and engaged, she's friendly and affectionate. At the vet, she does best when handled by staff without her owner present and gets rave reviews for her behavior. Emma is social with: 'ۢ ӕ%8F Male & female dogs 'ۢ ӕ%8F Cats (she may grumble if they approach her food, but has never snapped) Ideal Home Emma would thrive in a home with: 'ۢ %8F An experienced dog owner (Rottweiler experience a plus) 'ۢ Ԭ'%8Dԩ'%8DԤ Older children or adults only 'ۢ Z Willingness to continue basic training and leash work 'ۢ A family who wants a devoted, affectionate companion Due to her size and enthusiasm, Emma is not the best fit for a home with very young children, as she can be rambunctious and unaware of her strength when excited. She has never shown aggression, but her next home should allow her the space and structure to succeed. Emma is located in Baltimore, MD, but transportation can be arranged for the right home.
