About WOLFIE and REBA

REBA and her best friend WOLFIE are looking for a loving home together! We can only think of one other time in recent years when this has happened.... two dogs fostered together have become so deeply bonded that we completely changed our plans and are now searching for a home willing to adopt both! WOLFIE is a beautiful merle Pomeranian, about 22 months old, who weighs 13 pounds. He is without a doubt one of the sweetest little souls you could ever meet. He has never met a person or another dog he didn't like. He is truly Mr. Personality, friendly, charming, affectionate, and full of joy. WOLFIE was surrendered to rescue because he had a problem with his legs and his owner was unable to get him the help that he needed. At his initial vet visit with us, he diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. It was decided that the best course of action would be FHO surgery on both hips. It was a major surgery that required a very involved recovery, including frequent walking and encouragement to stay active rather than lying around. That's where REBA comes into the picture. REBA is an adorable 2 year old, 6 pound Chihuahua mix. She came into rescue after being dumped with several other dogs in someone's yard. REBA's personality is a mix of sweetness and caution. With her foster family, she is absolutely precious, sweet as pie, and full of snuggles, kisses, and loyalty. But she's still very skittish around new people and may fear bite if she feels threatened or a stranger tries to pick her up. She needs someone who will give her the time and space she needs to trust, and once she does, she becomes the most loving little sidekick you could ask for. REBA quickly became WOLFIE's unofficial physical therapist. She encouraged him to get up and move, playing with him, wrestling with him, and keeping him engaged. Before long, WOLFIE was using both of his back legs more confidently, putting weight on them, balancing, walking, and playing in ways he rarely had before. As his mobility improved, something beautiful happened. WOLFIE and REBA formed a deep bond. He began grooming her, they started sleeping together, and they became inseparable. REBA is not as confident as WOLFIE, and she looks to him for reassurance and guidance. Together, they balance each other perfectly. They love toys, wrestling, cuddling with their people, and spending their days together. Both are fully potty trained, use a doggie door, and require a fully fenced yard. They are good with other small dogs and should not go to a home with kids. At night, they sleep in bed together with their foster family. WOLFIE and REBA truly are the perfect dynamic duo, a bonded pair who will entertain you for hours and fill your home with love, laughter, and companionship. They are spayed/ neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, have had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and are microchipped with lifetime registrations. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
