About Champ

There are A LOT of dogs at shelters in need of a #HomeForTheHolidays but one dog that was recently taken to Long Beach Animal Care Services is truly worthy of the communities support in either connecting the dog's owner to the shelter to help or finding a place to call home... and that boy is Champ Champ was found early in the morning on 12/20/25 tied up to a tree near Bixby Knolls park with some supplied and a note pleading for a home. Sadly, Champ was taken to the shelter where he was impounded as an abandoned stray which delays any time an unwanted homeless shelter pet can find a home since they have to get stuck in a kennel waiting for an owner (that is likely never showing up). Champ is a epitome of your bog goofy Mastiff, longing for attention from people and always down for a good time playing with dogs in the yard.
