About Memphis

MEMPHIS HAS ARRIVED!!!! This rambunctious 2 year old is new to us today! His Previous owner has this to say: 'Unfortunately he is not working with our family he has a lot of energy and we have tried but don't have the time to get him the exercise he needs. He needs a lot of attention and unfortunately we don't have the money or time for what he needs. We have two kids age 4 and 7. He is very active with them which makes it very hard when we have other kids at our house. Memphis gets a lot of energy with lots of little ones around and doesn't know his size compared to the kids. We have had him since 8 weeks old we have tried for 2 years to make it work but we just haven't been able to. He's very sweet and loving but would be better in a home without small kids. He loves them and wants to be with them but it's in a more wild way than we can handle with kids aged 4 and 7. He can be like a bull in a china shop. He needs a home without small kids or kids that can be monitored more than we are able. The perfect home would be someone who can give him a lot of attention and exercise. He would make a great running partner. He is thoroughly house broken and will put his head in your lap. He is crate trained and love walks but will pull initially out of excitement since we don't get him out much. He's pretty good with basic commands. Memphis is still pretty much a puppy and really needs someone who can spend more time with him than we can'.' Memphis has been in foster now for a couple weeks and this is his fosters evaluation: 'Memphis is typical velcro Weimaraner. He is a very sweet and affectionate pup with a docked tail. He does have lots of energy and would do well with lots of walks or with a running companion. Ideally a home where they are with Memphis a lot until he feels safe and secure. He probably didn't do well with the smaller kids because he is a clumsy goofball and wants lots of attention. He's done well with other dogs on walks. He is housetrained and very eager to please.' Memphis is waiting to meet you!! He is in the Cathedral City area of Palm Springs. His foster is available to answer questions or facilitate a meet up if you'd like to meet him. This boy is also a purebred. Both parents are known which is rare in rescue!
