For about eight months, Pixely finally had what every rescue dog hopes for - a home, a routine, and people who loved her. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond her control changed. The resident dog in the home began showing escalating aggression toward Pixely, including attacks. For the safety of both dogs and the family, the heartbreaking decision was made to return Pixely to Florida. And this is where Pixely continues to be quietly overlooked. Because Pixely is well-behaved, stable, and considered 'safe,' she doesn't receive the urgency or attention that other dogs do. She isn't in immediate danger - but she is still waiting. On top of that, Pixely faces an unfair reality many dogs like her do: she is a black bully breed, a combination that is often passed over despite being incredibly loyal and loving. She is overlooked not because she lacks value, but because people scroll past before ever getting the chance to know her. Pixely deserves more than assumptions.
