[I do my best to be as accurate as I possibly can in these profiles. I disclose all that is disclosed to me]. [Case opened on 12/27/25]. URGENT!!! AT RISK FOR SURRENDER/EUTHANIZATION! GREENFIELD, OHIO. (willing to drive up to 100 MILES ). 5.5 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB:1/16/20 ). His name is 'ZILCH '. Background: the Current Shepherd Parent has had Zilch since he was 12 weeks old. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids, but startles easily and will nip. Good with most dogs. Good with cats, but seems to have an issue with intact male cats. House trained. NOT Crate trained, his anxiety gets so bad sometimes that he tries to escape. Any known medical issues?: Severe Anxiety since getting neutered in 2023 plus Separation Anxiety. ENERGY LEVEL: HIGH. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: HIGH. Weighs 97 lbs. Currently on Purina Dog Chow food. Good with car rides?:LOVES . Socialized with: *people?: YES. *dogs?:YES . Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): UNKNOWN. Loves: peanut butter on a spoon - pup cups - cuddling - going on walks - chilling on the couch - playing with other dogs - balls - playing fetch - sleeping in bed with his person - being near his person - chew bones - pig ears - pleasing his person. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: YES. Has also had General Obedience Training. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH):YES . *Good on a Leash?: FAIR. *Lovable?: YES. *Eager and fast learner?: YES. Bite History?: YES. Since his Anxiety has become worse, he has chased after a boy that came up to his Person (the CSP's daughter) and nipped him. It was a minor nip, but it was unpredictable and needs to be disclosed. There was also another incident where his Person, (the CSP's daughter) walked across the room to put her watch on the end table and as she turned around, Zilch ran after her and tore her shirt. The Current Shepherd Parent is unable to recognize any certain triggers, so at this time, Zilch's aggressive behavior is unpredictable. We are hoping Zilch can get placed with someone who has experience in this situation and can help figure out Zilch's triggers and help him improve through these unpredictable behaviors. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'He really is a good boy which is why we want to find him a new home. Will probably do well in a quiet home'. Re Homing because'|: in 2023, Zilch was neutered and the Current Shepherd Parent believes that this awakened some deep Anxiety inside of him. His Anxiety immediately became severe to the point that even the vet called the Current Shepherd Parent to come get him after neutering because his Anxiety was so bad they were afraid he was going to hurt himself. Will be a great companion for the right person. Will thrive best'|?: in a calm home with someone who can help ease his Anxiety. NO SMALL KIDS. Someone who is home a lot who can be there with Zilch and allow him to feel safe, secure and comfortable. Someone with not a lot of visitors coming and going. Zilch needs a calm and stable life where he can relax and thrive. Preferably someone experienced with Unpredictable Aggressive Behavior who can work with Zilch, find his triggers, respect them and help work through them. We do believe that if he is in a calmer and quieter environment, that this may be a huge factor for improvement. The current environment is loud and may be overstimulating Zilch and keeping him on edge. Comes with: collar, leash, harness, bed . Rehoming Fee $125. ***If not on Facebook, please text me for more pics and full Profile*** ***Serious Inquiries, please message me for the Rehoming Form. Thank you***. Text/Call: 513-417-6238.
