About Bella

LOCATION: Hempstead, TX DOB: 09/09/2025 Bella is a Great Dane-Belgian Malinois mix puppy with a sweet, silly personality and a curious streak that keeps life interesting. She loves cuddles and will happily roll over during play, showing her naturally submissive and gentle side. When she's not soaking up affection, she's on a backyard expedition, convinced there's always one more stick to discover-even if she has to make it appear herself. She's fascinated by water and will splash whenever she gets the chance, and at the end of the day you'll often find her perched in her favorite cozy spot: a bucket of blankets tucked in the corner. As you'd expect from a puppy, Bella's energy comes in bursts-zoomies are a daily event-but a good backyard and regular playtime keep her happy. She's smart and engaged, with a funny habit of 'talking back' using soft barks and little growls when you chat with her, like she's doing her best to learn the language. Her current favorite toy is an orange scrunchie, and she takes hiding games seriously, attempting to blend in behind trees, couches, blankets, or even other dogs if she thinks it'll work. Bella is crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. She's mostly housetrained and still has the occasional puppy accident, about once a day, which continues to improve with routine. One thing to know is that if she's bored and finds soft dirt, she may try her paw at digging-ongoing training and enrichment will help curb that habit. She gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes, from tiny companions to giant friends, and plays politely without being pushy. She'd be happy as an only dog with an engaged family or alongside other dogs, even those who prefer a quieter pace. Bella has been great with children ages two and up, matching their energy and taking cues-if they want to play, she's in; if they don't, she's content to do her own thing. With new adults, she may bark and hang back at first, but she warms up quickly and shows a sweet, protective instinct. Bella is healthy, adaptable, and very bright.
