About Jack

Hi this is Jack he is about 65lbs and 2 years old. His previous owner did not train or ever take him to the vet. She would leave him unattended for long periods of time and he escaped onto the neighbors farm. I'm not sure what all happened or how many times it happened but the neighbor said he would shoot him if he did it again. She reached out to a trainer who connected her and I so I could foster Jack and get him UTD on shots. I have had him since mid October and he is UTD and now fixed. His previous owner said he is a pure bread but I have no way to prove this. He is a good boy who is learning well and is crate and house trained. The adoption fee is because I paid out of pocket for all his vetting and his supplies as he came with nothing. Also to prevent him from being used as a bait dog. He is not aggressive and does not resource guard. He is good with kids and dogs and I would say is maybe cat selective but more likely he just needs to be told each time he meets a new cat what is and is not okay. He is learning quickly and with continued training he could be the perfect dog. He currently has happy tail which is causing some concern as he can reach his tail even with an ecollar on so I can't get it to stay wrapped. If he can go a few days without hitting it he is fine but unfortunately my hallway is very narrow so we are struggling to get him outside to do his business without hitting it again. This is causing a very unfortunate situation for him and myself as I also can't allow him to wander through my house or he could re hit his tail. I am also in an unexpected situation where I need to move so having him placed quickly would be great. He is overall a very good boy who just wants to be loved.
