About Bel

Large white, regal, delicate but strong, loving, no aggression, loves to run with other dogs in the park unleashed. Comes immediately when I call, otherwise untrained. Good appetite but picky. I add boiled chicken and veg to her kibble 2x day. She is an imp, big happy personality, makes me laugh. Very friendly. I rescued her 9/22/25 from a person who was frantic needed to place her asap. I took her in planning to take her to a highly regarded no-kill shelter but they wouldn't take her, only small dogs. So I took her in. It was difficult because my beloved 14 yr old dog died the day before and I was in deep mourning. I have grown attached to Bel but I am 73 yrs old and I cannot control her when we walk. I have already suffered a nasty injury. I live in a small condo in town, in a neighborhood filled with dogs. Bel has a fit when she sees dogs, unless they are both unleashed. Then she loves to play. She is fast as lightening with unbounded energy. I was thinking of getting her a trainer but they are too expensive so I am forced to give her up I will not give her to anyone unless they prove themselves but it is near impossible to find a home in my neighborhood. When I discovered there were rescues I thanked god. Bel has her rabies shot and partial elective vaccinations, kennel caugh, distemper She gets chewable flea/tick chewable monthly. I have her on pro plan. She is totally housebroken.bel sleeps in her crate and self soothes before I let her out. I will deliver Bel wherever she is placed. If she was smaller I would not part with her, a funny imp. It's as though she laughs with me when we play. I have always had cocker spaniels. When I rescued Bel she was skeletal around 30 lbs. now she is 47 lbs. lots of hamburgers in the beginning Bel is delightful. All she needs is guidance and training. She is very smart
