Help Jackson check off his ultimate bucket list item by giving him an A+ life with space to safely explore, run, and be his adventurous, happy self. Jackson is a sweet, loving, and handsome boy believed to be a Catahoula/Mountain Cur mix, approximately 8-9 years old. He was rescued five years ago and, at that time, was heartworm positive. He has since completed treatment, is fully healed, and is up to date on all vaccinations. Occasionally, Jackson needs allergy meds/creams. Jackson is an exemplary housemate, calm, respectful, and happy to greet you each day. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he keeps the home happily chew-free. He adores people and gets along very well with humans of all ages. He appears to do well with cats. When it comes to wildlife, however, Jackson takes his job seriously. If you need squirrels caught, or at least strongly discouraged, Jackson is your guy. Around some dogs, his strong chase instincts and impressive athletic speed can come into play, so he would thrive best in a home that understands working or high-drive breeds. Jackson would be a wonderful match for an active individual or household, especially one familiar with Catahoulas, Mountain Curs, or agility or working dogs. He is loyal, affectionate, and ready to be a devoted companion.
