Need to rehome my 5year old female aussie. Her name is Elsie. She's a typical loving, happy, and eager to please aussie. We had a child and while she was excited and wanted to follow us around and our daughter at first now that our kid is loud, unpredictable and running towards Elsie she is getting freaked out and overly stressed, hiding behind the couch or under the table. We have had to separate them with gates but when a gate was accidentally left open, she bit our 19month old child. Elsie loves to be with her people and its not fair to her and we have a second child on the way. She lives with two huskies but her and our dominant female husky do occasionally get in to fights. She has been nervous around new people that we ask people coming over to ignore her until she feels comfortable which usually ends with Elsie trying to sit on their lap and lick their face. She has done board and train with Huffman K9 and loves to train and learn new tricks. She also loves frisbee in the backyard but mostly she's happiest just being with her people. She needs to be in a kid free home or atleast older dog savvy children and a dog free home or free of dominant dogs. Located in Mcminnville, Oregon. The rescue's near us have suggested euthanization due to the dog bite and say she isn't adoptable. She temporarily stayed with our dog sitter for a few months and completely thrived being in a dog free and kid free environment. With the right environment and owner she can have an amazing life and deserves a chance.
