About Rex

Rex is a gentle 11-year-old long haired dachshund whose owners, who had him since he was a puppy, did not take him when they moved. He is very cuddly, and great with other animals. He attaches very well with new people. Rex does have a mild case of cataracts, and in addition to an exam, heartworm test and vaccinations,I am having a complete dental done on him prior to adoption as his teeth are pretty bad. He would do best in a loving home that will give him lots of cuddle time. I have not seen him with children, but he is very sensitive and because of his age would not put him in a home with small kids. Rex is housetrained, enjoys riding in the car, and walks beautifully on leash. He has been around dogs and cats, and is great with everyone (even cats that lie on him while sleeping). He is a wonderful dog that deserves a forever home!
