We met a family of dogs that immediately touched our hearts: 8 puppies, their mother, and their father. The father guarded the kennel, never touching the mother's food. The mother would come out to greet us, then quickly return to the kennel to lovingly care for and feed her puppies. Our hope of saving the family together was shattered when the puppies mother suddenly disappeared. The father stopped eating. We cried endlessly and rushed to save the puppies. As we were taking them away, the father ran after the car. This dog has shown absolute devotion to his family and is now grieving their loss. A large Anatolian Shepherd mix, he is looking for a home and a family. He is currently in Georgia (the country). He is social-he meets us happily and allows petting. He is a strong and confident guardian of his territory (and of his beloved puppies). He is accustomed to living outdoors and would be best suited to a private home with a yard. He should not be kept on a chain.
