About Simba

Simba is the cutest scruffy young man with soulful eyes and a heart full of love. While his exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery-possibly a pekingese /Pomeranian mix or even a mini Golden Retriever mix-what's undeniable is his charm and gentle spirit. Simba came to our rescue after being surrendered due to unfortunate circumstances. His caretaker was told she would be temporarily watching him while his owner traveled for work, only to later realize she had been deceived and the owner never returned for Simba. Despite the confusion and loss, Simba has remained resilient and trusting. Now safe under ARC's care, Simba is adjusting wonderfully and showing just how special he is. He walks great on a leash, absolutely loves toys of all kinds, and enjoys human companionship. Because of all the recent changes in his life, Simba would do best as the only dog for now so he can fully settle in and feel secure in his new environment. Simba's current caretaker is moving and is only allowed to have one dog, choosing to keep her senior companion. Since Simba is young and highly adoptable, he was brought into ARC with the hope of finding him the stable, loving home he deserves. Simba is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and is scheduled to be neutered on January 12. He is looking for a committed adopter or a foster-to-adopt home that will give him patience, consistency, and love.
