About April

APRIL IS STILL WAITING. BUT WHY? Several of us had the chance to foster April, and after spending time with her, we keep asking ourselves: What are we missing? Because April is such a beautiful nice dog. She's a big girl with a real presence, and she bonds with her people FAST. After just one night with us, that was it-April had decided we are her people and she wanted to be right by our sides. So let's stop looking backward about where she was and start looking at April's future. Look at everything April brings to the table: Loving and affectionate Friendly and happy Playful and smart Eager to please House trained Good recall Loves kids Good with dogs, cats AND horses Ready to be someone's loyal companion Knows commands: Sit, Down, Shake, Wait, Leave it Also important: April generally does well on a leash passing other dogs, but if a strange dog gets too close, she can occasionally have an outburst of reactivity. She has already had training and her future family will need to continue helping her build confidence and good leash skills. But that is one part of April-not all of April. April doesn't need a family who wants to take her everywhere. She needs a family who wants to ENJOY LIFE WITH HER. Walks. Playtime. Adventures. Relaxing at home. Being your shadow. Being loved.
