April Has Arrived in Wisconsin and Is Ready for Her Second Chance April is now in Wisconsin and officially beginning the next chapter of her life with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. After everything she has endured, she is finally experiencing safety, warmth, and consistency-and she's settling in beautifully. Meet April April's story is one of survival and quiet resilience. This approximately 2.5-year-old Husky/Pit mix came to the shelter as part of a neglect case. Before her former owner could attend court, they were evicted and surrendered April to the shelter. She had been living outdoors in freezing conditions, relying on a tiny metal trash can for shelter when temperatures dropped to 19 degrees. Despite her past, April is described as a truly great dog by everyone who meets her. She is friendly, gentle, and well-mannered, with a calm and steady presence. April gets along wonderfully with both male and female dogs and has shown no issues during interactions. She seems deeply appreciative of kindness and affection, making her a lovely companion for many types of homes. Now that she's arrived in Wisconsin, April is adjusting well and continuing to show what a special girl she is. She's enjoying the comforts she was once denied and is ready to find either a foster or forever home where she can fully thrive. April weighs approximately 55 lbs, is heartworm negative, and has her spay scheduled. She's ready to leave her past behind and finally experience the love and stability she has always deserved.
