She is a senior foster dog with a past that clearly left deep scars. It is very evident that she was severely abused, and as a result she is highly reactive and requires daily Prozac to help manage her anxiety. She has limited vision and cannot see out of her left eye, and she is not suitable for homes with children or with dominant dogs-especially other females. She also suffers from significant arthritis, which makes being picked up painful and can trigger a reactive response, so it is important that she is never lifted. That said, once she feels safe and secure, her true personality shines through. She is incredibly sweet, seeks affection, and will happily crawl into your lap for gentle pets. She needs a patient, experienced adopter who understands trauma, respects her boundaries, and can offer her the calm, loving environment she has always deserved.
