Penny (registered name Jumanji) is a 3-year-old cattle dog mix (~40 lbs) who bonds deeply with her handlers and thrives in calm, predictable environments. With people she knows, she is very sweet, cuddly, and affectionate - she loves belly rubs and close companionship and has bonded strongly with us during three weeks in foster care. We're fostering her from Oregon Dog Rescue, who is seeking euthanasia (see below). Important disclosure: Penny has had two indoor bite incidents that occurred when unfamiliar people entered the home unexpectedly. Neither required medical attention, and she disengaged immediately. She has shown no issues outdoors, on leash, or during structured activities. Her behavior appears trigger-based and management-related, not generalized aggression. We are happy to provide full incident details, foster notes, photos, and assist with transport for the right placement. If you have experience with herding breeds and are seeking a loyal, affectionate dog who thrives with structure, Penny deserves a thoughtful, informed home.
