Millie is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality and lots of energy. She thrives when she has space to run, play, and stay busy, and would do best in a home that can give her plenty of daily activity and structure. She is very loving with her people and bonds closely with those she trusts. Millie enjoys being inside with her people; however, she is not reliably house-trained and has frequent indoor accidents. These appear to be behavioral rather than medical, and may be related to anxiety or boundary-testing, so she would need a patient, experienced owner willing to work consistently on this. Millie does best with close supervision, as she can be adventurous and may take off if given the chance-especially around other dogs. For this reason, she may be happiest as an only dog. While she enjoys playing, she can sometimes be overly enthusiastic, which can be misread by other dogs. Millie needs a confident, experienced owner who can provide clear leadership and consistent boundaries. With the right guidance, she has shown great potential as a working dog and has even helped herd cows. She is good with cats. Millie may have some anxiety and has nipped in the past when she felt uncomfortable, so we do not recommend a home with children. She is currently primarily an outdoor dog but does enjoy time inside with her people. Millie would be a wonderful match for the right person-someone active, patient, and experienced-who can understand her needs and help her succeed.
