I don't even know where to start. It hurts my heart to even be doing this. Ellie was given to me and my daughter a little over a year ago under complete false pretenses. She is definitely extremely sweet with people and children. But I have another dog (a min pin) and 2 other cats and a bunny. She excessively barks in all of their faces, and my other dog attacks her when she does it and Ellie definitely fights back. They have never drew blood. But it's a stressful situation for everyone involved including me and my daughter who have to break it up. She was given to me by an older couple (a friends parents), and they said she was well behaved, potty trained and that she was a service animal. They said they were just getting too old to take care of a dog anymore. So I happily took her in because I love animals. I realized the first night how bad her separation anxiety was and it has not let up at all in the year I've had her. Her old owners got a new dog as soon as they have my Ellie and I also found out they Ellie was never a service dog. They lied about everything just to get rid of her. I've been trying to find the perfect fit for her and I want to be honest about her and not bamboozle anyone into taking her the way I was. I will say that she is much better since I have gotten her, but her next level anxiety just gets everyone in a bad mood. I dread accidentally forgetting something in my car and having to walk out of the door because I already know it's going to be a whole production. All of my other animals are pretty chill, and Ellie just needs to be with somebody who works from home like I do, but doesn't have any other pets. Ellie wants to be the main focus And I can't give her that here. I know being honest won't get her rehomed, because it hasn't worked yet, but I feel like not telling the whole truth will just get her into a home that isn't ready for her and will end up giving her back. I don't want her to have a bunch of homes, I want her to find her forever home. I already feel bad enough that she's going to have at least three homes in her life..
