About Benelli

Benelli is a loving, loyal Aussie who thrives in a calm, predictable home. He's great with kids, currently lives with a cat, and has been around dogs of all sizes. He does best when fed separately and when high-value toys are managed, as he can exhibit some resource guarding. Benelli has anxiety and can be shy or vocal when meeting new people. He needs slow introductions and someone who understands that his initial uncertainty isn't aggression - just nerves. Once he feels safe, he becomes a total Velcro dog who bonds deeply with his person. He does have some general anxiety especially around unpredictable environments or a lot going on. He will often let you know when he needs space by standing by the back door. He does well on a leash, crate trained, knows all basic commands, and loves fetch of any kind. He completed a board-and-train in 2025, and lifetime follow-up training is included at no cost. Benelli is looking for a patient, stable, loving home that understands anxious dogs and wants a devoted companion in return
