Soldier is an 8 month old #GermanShepherd #SiberianHusky mix that was surrendered to the shelter on 12/15/25 after Soldier was struck by a vehicle and his owner could not afford medical costs due to his vet not accepting his pet insurance, it is unknown if staff inquired on the pet insurance provider to determine validity and/or direct the owner to a veterinarian clinic on his insurance providers plan. Soldier suffered a laceration on the back of his head which was able to be repaired with sutures and minor muscular trauma to his limbs which is resolving through pain medication and cage rest, Soldier is available for adoption or rescue.
