Hi, I'm Sasha 13-year-old Female Akita | Senior | Not spayed Hello, I'm Sasha. I'm a 13-year-old Akita lady with a gentle soul and a quiet strength. I came to the shelter with Roman, but after time and care, my shelter friends believe I would be okay finding my own forever home, too. I'm very sweet with people and enjoy calm, respectful interactions. I have classic Akita qualities, I'm loyal, observant, and a bit independent. Because of this, adopters with Akita or large-breed experience are preferred, and all adopters will be carefully screened to ensure the right fit. Dog Compatibility: I may do well with a large, calm male dog who is already neutered, with slow and proper introductions. No small animals: I have a high prey drive and cannot live with cats or small dogs, as I have shown unsafe behavior toward them in the past. Home & training: I have always been an outdoor dog, living in a small run, and I am not house- or crate-trained yet. I'll need patience, kindness, and consistency as I adjust to home life. Because of my age, the shelter is cautious about spay surgery and will discuss options with potential adopters. Adoption Fee: $40 Added Bonus: A generous sponsor is offering a $100 gift card to my adopter after I've been successfully settled in my new home for at least 30 days.
