URGENT!!! AT RISK FOR SURRENDER/EUTHANIZATION!!! NE CANTON, OHIO . (willing to drive up to 60 MILES ). 2.5 Y/O MALE AKC REGISTERED WHITE GSD (DOB: 4/2/23). His name is 'MAX '. Background: the current Shepherd parent has had Max since weaned from a breeder . UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids, but needs to be supervised at all times because he does not like to be touched. Good with dogs. Good with cats, chases but not aggressive. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: NO. ENERGY LEVEL: MEDIUM. PREY DRIVE LEVEL:MEDIUM . Weighs 95 lbs. Currently on Homemade Blend food. Good with car rides?: YES, but doesn't like people reaching back towards him. Socialized with: *people?: yes, but skittish at first, and does not like to be touched. *dogs?: Not often, but does well when he is. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): yes with Proper Introduction and does not like strangers petting or touching him. Loves: balls - car rides - walks - jerky - treats - toys - playing with other dogs - playing fetch - being near his person - Stuffies - squeakys - bone marrow bones. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: YES. Has also had SPECIAL TRAINING: Puppy Training + Obedience Training + Off Leash Training. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): YES. *Good on a Leash?: YES. *Lovable?: YES. *Eager and fast learner?: YES. Bite History?: Max recently bit the current Shepherd Parent's husband but not out of aggression nor the intent of causing harm. He had his head laying in the Current Shepherd Parent's husband's lap wanting to play ball, and the husband got up quickly and Max wanted to play. This bite was either out of being startled or because he wanted to play with his ball, and was NOT out of aggression but must be disclosed. Re Homing because�'�|: The Current Shepherd Parent's husband has cancer and cannot take the risk of Max accidentally playfully biting him. The Current Shepherd Parent thinks it is best for Max to be rehomed and find his Furever Home. Max does not like to be touched, especially around his neck area. The Current Shepard Parent does use a prong collar on him so I'm sure this plays a factor in that. He does allow his person to touch him and put collars on him, but not comfortable with anyone else. So once you become his person, things should improve, but at first, please be alert and aware that he does not like to be touched. Will thrive best�'�|?: in a loving home with someone who has time to spend with Max. If you have kids, you must supervise at all times and not allow them to touch him. Preferably someone with NO kids. A loving but firm Leader. Comes with: collar, leash, crate, toys, blanky, towels, AKC papers.
