About Lazlo

Laszlo is 5 years old and in very good health. He has lived with us for 7 months, one child has become very allergic and has asthma. He has been kept up to date on all vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He eats both wet and dry food fine, even though he has mostly baby teeth. Per vet: teeth are healthy, not many adult teeth. He is house trained, crate trained and very good on a leash, loves an easy walk. He dotes on human attention and will cuddle on your lap or snooze close by. Happy to perform tricks for treats. He is a very cute 17 lb guy. He's scared of cats, so will keep a respectful distance as a result. He is somewhat anxious and wearing a shirt or sweater helps calm him; he gets more anxious on car rides (but not carsick). He is very well behaved and doesn't really need to sleep in a crate, but we do keep him crate trained. His original owner hand fed him as a puppy and treated him as human, so he is a dog who didn't know how to be a dog. He has lived with us for six months and has started to !earn how to play with two other dogs in a very timid manner. He was very attached to original owner and became resource guarding towards her toddler, resulting in several bites (not serious bites). He has not bitten anyone in our home, or attempted to bite. (Two kids 10 and 13 live here) He would thrive as the only dog in the home with a patient owner; he gets very jealous of the other dog getting treats or attention.
