URGENT!!! AT RISK FOR SURRENDER/EUTHANIZATION!!! FOWLERSVILLE, MI. (willing to drive up to SURROUNDING STATES ). 1 Y/O FEMALE GSD (DOB: 11/7/24). Her name is 'NALAH '. Background: the current Shepherd parent has had Nalah since weaned from a breeder. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. NOT Good with kids. NOT Good with dogs, FEAR REACTIVE. Does well with other household dog but not stranger dogs. Good with cats, curious. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: NO. ENERGY LEVEL: MEDIUM. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: MEDIUM. Weighs 77 lbs. Currently on PURINA food. Good with car rides?: YES. Socialized with: *people?: YES, and currently in Training Program working on Socialization with other dogs and people. *dogs?: YES, and currently in Training Program working on Socialization with other dogs and people. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Growls, but improving, currently in Training Program working on Socialization with other dogs and people. Loves: being dorky lol - toys - food - treats - playing with housemate dog - Outside Time - talking when excited - cuddling - going on walks - chilling on the couch - balls - playing fetch - being near her person - heavy duty chew toys. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: YES, currently in training and is a Star Pupil. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH):YES . *Good on a Leash?:YES . *Lovable?: YES. *Eager and fast learner?: YES. ��|�Bite History?: NO. *ABUSE HISTORY?: yes. When Nalah was 5 months old, a disrespectful child was visiting the home and punched Nalah in the hip. Ever since this incident, Nalah, with good cause, is not comfortable and does not trust kids. Aggression towards children due to their unpredictable behavior. Her mohawk will rise & her head will dip. She will be quiet until they get too close & she will lunge to bite; most advising trainers have said it is a Fear Based Anxiety Reaction towards them. She has continuously been worked with through this issue (please read below). NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Nalah is an amazing dog who deserves a safe & happy life. She is highly trained: Muzzle trained, crate trained & extremely obedient. She is my best friend and very loyal companion & incredibly responsive & loving to adults. I believe she would thrive in a dedicated child-free adult home. She is currently enrolled in Einstein Dog Training Day-Training Program with me. While she has been the Star Pupil and is great with training and meeting other dogs and people, the training has not fixed her core issue with kids. However, she is making great strides towards getting used to training and desensitization with kids and their rough & rowdy play. Our trainer says she can be monitoring them, but does not like their unpredictable play.' �'ۢ �'ۢ She's highly trained: Muzzle trained, crate trained, and extremely obedient. �'ۢ Loyal Companion: She is my best friend and incredibly responsive and loving to adults. I believe she would thrive in a dedicated child-free adult home. This is heartbreaking for me, but it's the right choice for her safety and ours.' Re Homing because�'�|: The Current Shepherd Parent has kids and while Nalah has been kept separated from them for over a year, there's always still the risk of something happening in some way. This is not an ideal situation and Nalah needs the home that will work for her. Outside of this one issue, she is an amazing dog who deserves a safe, happy life. Will thrive best�'�|?: in a home with NO kids. Preferably someone who is home a lot who can be with Nalah and give her the love and attention that she needs to thrive.
