Transport help may be available. * 4 year old terrier * weighs 48 pounds * abandoned at shelter * not spayed yet but she will be * heartworm test not yet completed * walks well on leash * shy but sweet - the shelter environment is overwhelming for her * knows the sit command * gentle, calm, and quiet * welcomes all pets once she feels safe with you * gentle treat taker * attentive and wants to please * leans in close for back scratches Emmy can be a little shy at first, but once she starts to feel comfortable, she leans in for pets and welcomes attention. I think as she continues to come out of her shell, she will trust more and you will soon see her sweet side. I'm sure she will do better in a home as it's less stressful than the overwhelming shelter environment. She's a good girl who's just waiting for someone to give her a chance to blossom. Beautiful Emmy is looking forward to having a home and family to share her life and love with. The shelter environment is a bit scary for her. Can you help her out?
