Wilma is smart, loving, and wonderful with people and all other animals, except for other dogs. She is very dominant and dog fights ensue. She seriously needs to be in an 'only one dog household' as a HOUSE DOG because she can escape any kind of fenced yard. She's house broken, leash trained, and spayed. We are her third home in a farm setting. We were a last ditch effort to keep her in a working farm dog capacity. She does GREAT with the chickens, goats, cows, ducks, sheep, guineas, and barn cats. Our only reason for not being able to keep her is the same as the previous 2 owners.... she won't stay with inside the boundaries of our 55 acres. She goes to visit neighbors, and the neighbors are now complaining. The previous owners only had hog panel. We thought our electric fence would keep her in. Uh...no. We cannot keep her has a house dog (which would keep her from roaming) because we have FOUR house dogs, and the constant need for positive control is simply not manageable. So....She needs a single house dog setting and supervision when outside so that she doesn't wander off. She always comes home, though. This is a great dog who simply needs a better situation. Please invite her to love and protect you and your family in a new fur-ever home.
