He's one of those dogs who just wants to be close to his people, whether that means curling up next to you on the couch or trotting happily by your side on a long walk. For a cattle dog, Cowboy is more medium energy. He enjoys adventures like beach days, hikes, and exploring the world, but he's just as happy to lounge, cuddle, and soak up affection. He's a sensitive guy who thrives on routine and does best when he knows what to expect. Schedules make him feel safe, and a calm, steady home is where he truly shines. Cowboy would love a home that's peaceful rather than chaotic. He's not a fan of constant hustle and bustle, but in a relaxed environment, his affectionate, gentle personality really comes out. He's a social dog who loves other dogs and has done wonderfully in a foster home with a cat who knows how to mind their own business. He's also great with kids and has lovely manners. Cowboy is potty trained, he's working on crate training, and has been an easy, respectful house guest. Rescued from a homeless encampment, Cowboy is incredibly resilient and ready for the stability and love of a forever home. He has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to choose him.
