A Holiday Prayer for Lily This post is going out with a prayer that somewhere, a true German Shepherd lover will see Lily and open their heart to her just in time for the holidays. Sweet Lily has been so patient. Such a good, good girl. She has waited quietly, without complaint, hoping her turn will come. And her only wish on her list this year is simple but powerful: a forever home. Lily is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd, about 48 lbs, with a playful spirit and the most soulful eyes. She does these precious little head tilts when she looks at you as if she's asking, 'Could you be my person?' She is loving, loyal, affectionate, and truly wants nothing more than to belong to someone who will love her back just as fiercely. She has a higher energy level and thrives when she can run and play especially with other dogs. She gets along wonderfully with canine friends and would love a playful pup companion. Because loud, unpredictable energy can overwhelm her, Lily is looking for an adults-only, cat-free home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be her best self. A low key home. Lily's journey hasn't been easy. She was found emaciated as a stray and brought to an overcrowded shelter, where she ended up on the euthanasia list in May 2024. Her life was hanging by a thread until a kind foster stepped in and said, 'She deserves a chance.' And oh, how she has blossomed. She has gained healthy weight, learned how to play, made dog friends, enjoys car rides, and loves her snuggle time. While she may be a little nervous meeting new people at first, once Lily trusts you, her sweet, gentle soul shines through in the most beautiful way. However the foster can only foster her for a few more weeks . So finding another foster or an adopter is crucial. Lily is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and ready for the forever home she's been dreaming of. She has been such a good girl all year long - and she truly deserves the world.
