About Leecie

Leecie does not want toys, treats, or a fancy bed this Christmas. She is only asking for one thing. A forever home. Leecie is 3 years old and has already lived through more than any dog should. After experiencing abuse and neglect by a man, she learned to fear most men. Even so, her heart is still full of love. In a women-only home, Leecie truly shines. She forms deep bonds, loves hard, and just wants to feel safe. She is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, has completed heartworm treatment, and is kennel and leash trained. Leecie loves cats and other dogs, and she has been around children. Because she is a strong and playful 65-pound girl who loves to run and wrestle, she does best with older children ages 7 and up. When she plays, she gives it her all and sometimes forgets just how big she is. We have been fostering Leecie for over a year, watching her heal, learn to trust, and discover what love feels like again. Now she is ready for the next chapter. One where she does not have to wonder if she is staying or going. One where she finally belongs.
