About Rusty

This cute guy is Rusty. Per DNA, he is mostly a 45% Cattle Dog / 41% Boxer mix. He was born on Halloween in 2020 and he weighs 65 pounds. Rusty is a smart guy who knows: sit, stay, down, off, backup, andsidewalk. He also knows a few tricks: Paw, double paw (for the right treat). He is house trained and sleeps nicely in his crate. Rusty is a nice guy who is great with women and the few kids he has met. Sometimes men in hats can make him leery, but he warms up when given a bit of time. Rusty is good with dogs large and small. With some dogs, he has to warm up, then he often barks to get them to play. Rusty is a fun guy who loves to fetch and play tug-o-war. He knows the name of some of his toys such as ball, rope, and duck duck. He is a great adventure pal who loves car rides. He is good on leash and usually only pulls if he is excited. He is an excellent running partner, too. Rusty needs a new home because he doesn't get along with the other male dog in the house. He would be fine living as an only dog or with a nice female dog. Rusty is such a nice dog. He loves to have fun. He is also empathetic, giving affection when his person doesn't feel well or are feeling down. He will lick one's face to try to cheer you up!
