About Edison

Edison is a 3yr old, 78lb pup who was saved from Prince George's County shelter, where there is a county-wide pitbull ban and where he was on the euthanasia list. He is a young goofy, and energetic boy who loves long walks, smoothies, and playing with his toys. Edison is dog friendly, housetrained, and neutered. He would do best in a home without children due to his excitability. Edison loves to carry his toys around with him everywhere he goes and adores other dogs. He does best with dogs around his own size since his play style can sometimes overwhelm little dogs. Edison loves to run and zoom when it's playtime but also is happy to curl up with a chew and chill as you work---he makes a great quiet coworker and just wants to be by your side. He can get a bit mouthy when he's excited or stressed, but he redirects well to his toys. Edison continues to learn and is working really hard on his training; he responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. He simply wants to please you---he's a happy and sweet boy who absolutely thrives with a routine. Edison will need an adopter who is willing to give him patience and understanding, but he will give you more than a little extra love in return.
