About Dean

Dean-O came to the Sanctuary in April of this year (2025). He was pulled from a local shelter and was at risk for being euthanized- since senior dogs don't do all that good at shelters. He was picked up by animal control and he has a microchip- his Owners were contacted and they did not want him! Can you believe that?!?! Dean was very obese when we picked him up, tipping the scales at 107 pounds! His ideal weight is about 70-75. Since being here at the Sanctuary, Dean has done great. He gets along with all dogs and cats. Dean loves all humans. Dean has been on a weight loss journey and is making great progress!! He is down about 15 pounds and is running, playing with the other hounds and has a better quality of life. Dean is a sweet boy and deserves the best. Dean is pretty easy going- he is a total couch potato. Dean does have some arthritis in his old body (that doesn't slow him down lol) and is currently on a joint supplement. Dean is heartworm negative, UTD on vaccinations and parasite prevention. You are welcome to visit Dean here at the Sanctuary or we can transport. �����%8Fȉ%9D%A4��%8F��%90%BE
