About Stella

Every senior dog deserves a purpose - and a place to call home. Stella is around 11 years old and has been with PMAR for over five years. She's one of our beloved long-timers, not because she isn't wonderful, but because she prefers life without other animals. That can make finding the right match harder - but it doesn't make her any less deserving of a forever home. She was adopted as a puppy and later returned to PMAR in May 2020 when her adopter's circumstances changed. Since then, she's been lovingly cared for by her foster family�'�| but what she truly needs is a home of her own to settle into at last. Stella's Sweet Spots: �'ۢ Gentle, shy, and blossoms with patience and trust �'ۢ Would thrive as an only pet (may do okay with a calm, dog-savvy cat) �'ۢ Incredibly smart - knows 'No,' 'Wait,' 'Place,' 'Down,' 'Sit,' 'Off,' and 'Come' �'ۢ Loves sniffy walks, sunshine, and peaceful outdoor time Stella has waited far too long for her happily-ever-after. She deserves a cozy couch, a soft blanket, and a family who sees her worth - because she has so much love left to give. Our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals in Canada.
