About Nilla

Nilla is a sweet cheerful affectionate female dog who weighs about 20# and is about 15' at shoulder. Her breed is naturally clean and has a soft coat. They rarely need bathing and bones keep teeth clean.. their one grooming necessity is nails preferably sanded off.. schipperkes were bred to get rats on the barges in the Belgium area over 1000 years ago.. She loves hugs and to be told she's a good dog..she is a natural protector and sounds alarm when there is something she thinks we should know about... she's good about stopping as soon as her name is called. but we're noise restricted where I'm living and her bark is loud for her size. She is easily trained with affection or treats.. I think she'd be a wonderful help for someone hearing impaired.. she just wants to alert and protect. She will need some potty re-training to go outside.. was trained on indoor pee pads.
