About Mocha

Hello, I am Mocha, a 2 year old spayed female Rhodesian Ridgeback/Doberman mix. I am a Velcro dog who loves to be near my person. I am potty trained, have a lot of energy and deal with some separation anxiety. Sometimes I like myself and cause ouchies. I love going on walks and will show you just how strong I am. I am 110/115 lbs and definitely could use a best friend to train me so that I can be the best best friend ever. Mocha is typical of her breeds and has ended up in the unfortunate situation of being in a home with a dog who has become increasingly aggressive toward her due to their resource guarding of food, toys and affection. We are actively working on this but have had some fights that have left both of them with scars. I do not believe Mocha is the instigator but now that she is the bigger stronger dog she is automatically more intimidating. My other dog is not handling this well. Mocha is by far the more adoptable dog as she has tons of potential with training in a better situation. I do recommend her being an only dog unless you have experience with helping dogs integrate into a pack. I unfortunately do not and I have failed her because of it. I love her and just really want the best for her. I will ask a rehoming fee, but her XL crate, bed, elevated dog food bowl, collar, harness and leash will come with her. I do ask that if things do not work out that she would be returned to me so I can ensure she stays out of the pound, and so that you don't feel like you end up stuck in the same situation as me if it does not work out.
