About a month ago, Pepper appeared on my friends doorstep in the middle of the night. She slept on their porch all night. The next morning I took her to a vet to find she has no microchip. I have posted her in missing pets pages on Facebook to no avail. Helped my friend ask their neighbors, no luck there either. We contacted McKamey and have an appointment on 12/9 to figure out what my friend needs to do. My friend has been housing her, training her, taking care of her, bought the basic necessities for owning a dog... etc. My friend has come to the realization that he cannot give her the life she deserves and would feel guilty adopting her as he works 50-60 hours a week, lives alone, no fenced in yard, and has a cat. Pepper has shown interest in the cat, but the cat was not having it so he has slowly tried to integrate them. We would love to see Pepper go to someone who owns or has owned a husky in the past. Only asking an adoption fee to make sure she's going to someone serious about owning her. My friend spent about $500 on items for her such a crate, dog bed, harness, training kit (clicker, fancy pack, treats), food bowls, food, puppy pads etc. He doesn't want that back, he helped her from the goodness of his heart and just wants to find her her forever home. I'll be the contact for Pepper. We are guessing she's somewhere between 1 and 2 years old.
