This is our beloved Treeing Walker Coonhound Geneva. My wife and I adopted her from a neglectful situation several years ago and quickly fell in love with her sweet, easy-going yet energetic nature! Despite her rough start in life, she has proven to be incredibly gentle and patient and quickly adapted to our house rules and routines. While relatively docile inside, she has a real zest for excitement and activities when outdoors and loves to chase squirrels in our local park. Her trademark howl at the start of our adventures together has gained notoriety in our neighborhood (although she is generally quiet on command). Unfortunately, as our family grew, we discovered that she has a tendency to nip at small children (5 and younger) in contrast to her otherwise calm and accommodating demeanor. She does not do this often and has never caused any real harm, but it is not a behavior that we feel is healthy at any level for our young family. She is filled with energy and has a huge heart; sending her to a loving and caring new home that is well suited to her lively nature and love of the outdoors is an absolute must for us. I am willing to travel to most locations in the Eastern U.S. to find her a new home. If interested in learning more about Geneva, please email us at [email protected].
