About Bear

Bear is a 6 1/2 year old, 90lb German Shepard, born in March of 2019. This is a handsome male dog with well defined features. He has been tested and is negative for heartworms and ringworms and is neutered. Rabies shot current. I am seeking a loving, active home for Bear with a family that can provide exercise and attention. A yard an active lifestyle would make him especially happy. Bear is easily trainable and recognizes and responds to many commands. He knows basic commands like sit, down, go, move, come - and he's very food motivated, which makes further training easier. Calm and obedient with plenty of energy, but very relaxed. House broken - does not get on or chew furniture - does not disturb garbage. He is at ease and well behaved inside or outside but is more comfortable outside. Very good disposition and behavior with everyone, very loving and seeks attention. LOVES ALL FORMS OF GROOMING. Submissive, very inquisitive. BARKING HABITS - DOES NOT bark at humans - Usually does not bark at female dogs - Will bark at cats and most male dogs Biting - NO KNOWN HISTORY of biting. I am unable to provide Bear with adequate exercise and activity. Bear was rehomed to me on 6/30/2025 from an owner who was moving and unable to house the dog any longer. I have had Bear less than 6 months. My health took a turn almost as soon as I took Bear into my home. I will be undergoing two separate surgeries in the coming months, each with significant rehab during recovery. I am unable to provide the level of activity needed to match his energy.
