Hi friends, my husband and I just traveled back from from San Carlos, Mexico and brought back another someone special with us. Please meet Akiba. Akiba was posted on our San Carlos Facebook page in need of rescue in September. She was a stray found in front of the athletic club begging for food and water for days. The girls who worked at the club reached out for help and posted about her. Akiba is between 9 - 11 months old, she is small/medium sized, weighs 22 lbs and is an energetic, happy, super fun doggie. She is fully vaccinated, spayed and has had flea/tick meds. We imagine she is some type of terrier cross, she does not seem to shed and her hair is so soft. She gets along great with her canine foster brother and sister, they play like mad! She is also a lover and likes to cuddle on the couch and sleep in bed with us. Haha. She is great with kids but has not been properly evaluated with kitties. She is an early riser and ready to climb a mountain, literally. %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD She has plenty of energy and would be an awesome running/hiking buddy, and she walks well on a leash/harness. She is ready to be adopted into her furever home. We are looking for an adopter who is a remote worker, retired person or someone who only leaves the home for minimal hours per day. We are rehoming her only because there are so many dogs that we want to try to help in Mexico. Our hope is to bring one beautiful soul back with us each time we drive to Colorado and save one pooch at a time. If you are interested in meeting Akiba, please message me or text Heather at 303-981-3183.
