About Ford or Mortie

Originally named Ford, but mostly called Forty by my nephew. I have been trying to get him to come to Mortie instead. Birthdate is listed as 04/20/2024 on official records. Shots are up to date. 100% Australian Cattle Dog per Embark. He loves to play catch (will even toss the ball to you to get your attention, or off the sofa to run after), and tug. He is house and crate trained. He enjoys some fresh fruits and vegetables. He knows sit and shake, and thinks that the Echo command means to come, because that means I am calling my son, who he REALLY does not like, to the front room. Speaking of which, his complete and utter dislike of my grown son with Autism, is the reason why I MUST find a new home for him. No matter what we have tried, we cannot get Ford/Mortie to relax around my son. He will react if he even hears his bedroom door open. This living situation is not healthy for any of us, including the dog, no matter how much I will miss his companionship. Prior to meeting my son, he has been around other men, and has never reacted the same way. He had been with my nephew since he was 8 weeks old, until I became responsible for him several months ago, when my nephew left the state.
