About Shiloh

Shiloh is a 65 pound GSD-husky malamute mix. He is handsome, affectionate, smart, food motivated, and incredibly lovable but lives with some separation anxiety and insecurity. He has mastered all the basic commands, has good recall, and loves playing catch as much as he loves sniffing around the backyard and rolling over for belly rubs. He does well with older female dogs and also loves small dogs. He loves his people but can be fearful around strangers and children. He does well at the vet and has done well at doggie daycare and on long road trips. He is house trained and physically healthy. Challenges include howling and occasional chewing if left alone, insecurity with strangers and other dogs, strong prey drive, fear-based reactivity with children. He is not aggressive and has never bitten another dog or human. His ideal home would have plenty of outdoor space, at least one adult who works from home, and maybe an older female dog. The right family could help him build confidence and success with a little love, patience, and dedication. His current family lost their house and yard in January and are finding it untenable to live in a small city condo with two large male rescues. Hoping to establish a better situation for Shiloh and the rest of the family. Can travel out of state for meet n greet.
