We are trying to keep up, but it's hard, so can you help us by really spreading the word in all the ways? Major was at the shelter for only 5 days before he caught the dreaded URI bug. And since then, the end of October, he's been confined to his kennel. But LOOK AT HIM- it says so much about a dog, in my opinion, when his spirits can still be so happy, so joyful, so gentle, so warm. He got out once for volunteer time, before he got sick, and was described as EASY in every way- easy to leash, walk through kennels, easy in the yard, loving belly rubs and neck cuddles. He met a potential adopter once, and was cool, then, too. In three playgroups, he's a normal dog- social, selective, gentle, steerable, playful, and one note about being too much sometimes & sexually motivated the first time only (but not yet neutered, too)-but overall good (so just be SMART about integration anyway, because rushing is dumb). Medically alerted because he's had this URI too long. And even though he still has a URI, he is thriving, he is not languishing, and in this video from Tuesday, he doesn't appear to be very symptomatic at all. So surely he will heal up well once he gets into a more sanitary environment.
