HONEY is a 10 year old, 31 pound Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Mix who was surrendered back to us due to family health issues. She is a loving, easygoing companion ready to brighten the life of a forever family who will adore her as much as she adores them. HONEY is an affectionate, happy, tail-wagging, kissy girl who charms everyone she meets. She's calm, sweet, friendly, and loves being near her people. She'll follow you from room to room and has no problem climbing right into your lap for cuddles. She's lively, joyful, full of personality and does not act her age. With other dogs, HONEY is playful and social. She may need a minute to warm up but gets along well with polite dogs. She'll stand her ground if another dog starts something, but she is never the aggressor. She is fine with cats and kids but absolutely cannot live with small pets such as birds (she thinks they're snacks!). HONEY was fully housebroken when we last had her, but she's had a few accidents as she readjusts. She'll usually start pacing when she needs to go, and if you ask her if she has to potty, she'll get excited and wag her tail. She previously lived in a home where the dogs used a fenced concrete area for potty time, and she did not enjoy that! She prefers to go on grass and enjoys walking around and exploring her favorite spots. She doesn't like being left outside alone at all. At night, HONEY sleeps in a dog bed or a comfy bedroom chair, though she would happily sleep in the bed if there was room. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides politely in the car (she prefers the floorboard!), and knows several commands including come, sit, off, wait, and no. HONEY is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
