About Emma

Emma is a Siberian Husky/ German Shepherd mix who was found wandering in California. She was rescued by my mother through a network of people that saves 'at risk' dogs. She brought Emma brought here in New York sometime in October 2025 and asked me to help foster her. Emma arrived malnourished with matted fur and a mild case of UTI, both which have been treated since then. As of this current listing, she no longer has these issues. She is a super sweet, high energy, and playful dog who gets along with most dogs (except small ones) and people. She is friendly with both adults and children, making her a good potential family dog. She loves to play, eat, and sleep! She is currently up-to-date with her vaccinations. She does need someone who has a lot of patience, time, and love because she craves lots of attention and affection. Emma is always happy to see someone and will want to play as soon as she sees you. Emma likes toys, but prefers to play with them outside rather than indoors. Her favorites are usually squeaky balls. We are in the process of training her, so she is not highly trained just yet. She has learned 'sit', 'leave it', and 'down'. Emma also has a tendency to be protective over her own food, but we are also training her to be more calm around food. As of right now, Emma has just had her spay and cyst removal surgery appointment yesterday, 4/28/2026. She will need two weeks of recovery time, but she will be ready for adoption again starting May 12th, 2026. My mom and I now have adoption application forms that will be provided only for interested parties who contact us. We can arrange a virtual introductory meet and greet for Emma via Zoom at your earliest convenience. And by request, we can also arrange an in-person meet and greet after the virtual one. If the adoption process is completed, you will need to complete and sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Thank you for checking this listing!
