Malone Has Arrived in Wisconsin and Is Settling into His Foster Home Malone arrived safely in Wisconsin and it's easy to see why he was a shelter favorite. This happy, go-lucky boy is settling in wonderfully - and we can't help but mention his good looks. Meet Malone Malone's story is one of resilience and second chances. This sweet 3-year-old Shepherd mix entered the shelter at just 5 weeks old and spent nearly his entire life waiting for a chance at a real home. Now, he's finally getting to experience the comforts of home life and is thriving. Despite his long shelter stay, Malone has never let it dull his spirit. He is a total goofball, brings joy wherever he goes and is friendly with everyone, he's eager to be part of a family and finally experience the world the way a dog should. From his foster: Malone did amazing with his first bath and slept through the night in his crate without a single peep. He is a total lovebug who leans into anyone who pets him for a hug and may even try to sneak in a gentle kiss. He's food motivated, takes treats very gently, and is eager to please. Malone gets along great with the resident dogs in his foster home and loves to play with them. He also enjoys toys and happily chews on a bone when it's time to relax. It truly breaks our hearts that Malone spent his entire life in a shelter, because he is such a joyful, affectionate dog with so much love to give. Potty training is underway and going very well. He is crate trained and walks nicely on leash.
