This is Ollie. I adopted him from a shelter in Flagstaff, Arizona and he originally came from a reservation up there. I have had him since he was 3 months old and he is 1.5 now, will be 2 in June 2026. He is incredibly smart & is potty trained, crate trained, knows sit, off, lay down, and gimme paw. Unfortunately he needs so much more play time, living space, and training than I can provide for him. He is currently living in a small apartment with me & I have received multiple noise complaints due to his barking when I am gone. Since getting him with my ex boyfriend we have moved multiple times and I've gotten a job with longer hours. I think all of this change + lack of consistent & long exercise has caused him to have anxiety and some behavioral issues. He is leash reactive to humans and other dogs. I don't have the proper time or funding to get him the training that he needs. He has lived with 2 other dogs who he got along great with & still currently lives with a cat who he gets along with too. He is wary at first of strangers that come over but quickly warms up to them and wants to play. Based on these qualities I don't think it's aggression but rather a protective instinct when on the leash. He's capable of being an amazing and smart companion but really deserves to live a more active lifestyle which I think would help so much with the behavior and anxiety. I love him so much and this has been such a hard decision but with multiple noise complaints now and limited time and funding I feel as though I'm doing him a disservice if I don't try to find a better home for him long term.
