After spending so much of her young life in the shelter system, she is finally getting the love, comfort, and stability she deserves. Poppy is a super sweet, adorable 1-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix weighing about 40 pounds. She recently got spayed and is recovering well. Her foster family says she is a happy, playful girl who loves people and enjoys being part of the action. She is working on potty training and making great progress. Poppy is also crate trained and settles nicely when it's time to rest. She is friendly and social with other dogs and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes her an easy companion. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. �'��3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
