Courtesy Posting: SAN BERNARDINO, CA ( S CAL)- HIGH KILL SHELTER X URGENT AT SAN BERNARDINO CITY SHELTER WHICH IS FULL - ADORABLE, 1 yr YOUNG CHOW BOY 'JINGLE' ID #A587775- PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY - NEEDS LOVING AND HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP TO SAVE HIM BEFORE HE IS EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE! Shelter describes as 'SWEET'. Help! The SBC shelter is full, and is sadly now dealing with a distemper outbreak so all dogs there get very little time. This sweet, friendly boy has been fondly named Jingle by the shelter. Found as a stray, the shelter told us, 'This guy currently has no behavior concerns'. He is currently kenneled with several other dogs because the shelter is so full. We have video of him with three other dogs and you can see Jingle happily approaching people for attention. He was originally attacked by another dog at the shelter, but fortunately was not injured. The shelter clarified, 'the other dog instigated an attack and this boy did not engage, choosing to run away while staff intervened and removed the other dog. He was not hurt at all, thanks to the team's swift intervention and all of his fur! The other dog was a younger male pittie mix who has already left with rescue. This guy is kenneled with three other male dogs now and has not had any noted issues so far.' Jingle came available to adopt on 11/30 and will meet his legal retention on 12/4 and can be sadly euthanized anytime after that. Therefore. if you are able to adopt Jingle and provide a forever home, please contact the shelter directly and asap by calling p or using their listing link. They are willing to a do a short hold for serious adopters while they drive to the shelter. His listing link is: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/SBCT/A587775 They also offer a foster program for nearby homes. While he has not exhibited signs of distemper, it is recommended that all dogs from this shelter be kept separate from other dogs until it can be confirmed they are negative. The shelter has also offered to provide rapid distemper tests out upon request and if in stock. If you may be interested to foster or foster to adopt him, or just need more help, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with his placement. Please note rescue groups typically need a foster to save a dog. Rescues should contact San Bernardino City Animal Control at (909) 998-4000 and also by email: [email protected] asap and note the ID.
