About Fletcher

Hello everybody! It's me Fletcher and do I have story to tell you. Let's go all the way back to February of this year (2025). My owners decided they didn't want me anymore so they so they opened the door and let me go out all by myself on an adventure. It was an adventure all right! I made it all the way from Maryland to Virginia without getting into to much trouble. A nice lady found me hanging out in a cemetery not looking so good so she picked me up and took me to a local vet's office to see if I was micro chipped. Guess what.... I was! The vet's office called my old owner and they said they didn't want me anymore (that's how we found out I was on the street for 5 whole months). That's when the nice people at the Dr's office called UYR and my foster mom came and got me right away. I'm a healthy boy... up to date on my shots now and I had my teeth cleaned. I only have 5 teeth left now, but that doesn't stop me from eating! I love to eat!! FM says I am a super sweet boy but I'm a little anxious. FM isn't sure if it's because I was out on the street for so long and I need more time to adjust to living back inside. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home, but I like to chase the cat. That doesn't make the kitty or FM happy. I am trying to get better about that. I don't want to eat the kitty and I'm not mean to him I just like to chase him. Needless to say the kitty doesn't like me now. I guess I can't blame him. FM thinks I would do great with another doggie sibling or I would be just fine as an only dog because I LOVE attention and to be loved on!! I'm really a sweet boy who just wants to be loved. I have been doing great about going potty outside and I have even started going to the door to let FM know it's time for a potty break. If you want a sweet little man in you life...then I'M YOUR GUY!!! FM wanted me to let you know that I will be going to the groomer to get my hair did and that she will post new pictures as soon as that's done.
